Income & Employment Promotion

Enable 40000 women and 18000 youth, 4600 organic farmers
to reach gainful employment by 2025…


Aim Create employment opportunities so as to open up new avenues of income to the families to have
a strong financial platform for long term development.



Organic Farming

  • About 4600 women and their families are actively involved in organic farming in the area under 24 Organic Farmer’s Cooperative promoted by Samhathi.
  • 390 homes based Dairy Units are operational in the area and 730 more to join the fold
  • More than 790 home based units are engaged in fish farming and 1200 more coming in
  • 3700 families are involved in fruits and vegetables cultivation while 4100 more are joining the lot
  • About 1800 women are active in poultry based farming activities and 2400 joining


    • Micro Enterprises

  • 230 women make income from home based garment making and allied units.
  • About 550 women have found employment in micro enterprises like running petty shop, fire wood shops, tea and snacks shop, village restaurants etc while 4700 are initiated into various micro enterprises
